This past Tuesday, November 13th, I was ready. Ready to order the brand new Nexus 4 phone. I am all about Google products. I am all about living off-contract. What better way to do it, than with Google's flagship, unlocked, always-the-first-to-update Android phone?
The better way would have been if Google had prepared for the demand for this phone. I logged onto the Play Store at about 11:50 a.m. ET to get ready for the 12 p.m. release...and found that it was already up for sale. I added it to my cart, went to checkout, and got an error. Tried again. Fail. Tried again. The phone wasn't in my cart anymore. Go back to the product page. Repeat. Fail. Can't spend all work day trying to buy a phone. Come back later. Sold out. Sad and angry.
I will still purchase the Nexus 4 when it is finally available again. The reviews are fairly good. The price is great. I don't care about LTE (blasphemy, I know).
I love you Google...and I kinda hate you.
